Parish Council business and activities are funded via a combination of a Precept administered by Cotswold District Council and private/charity donations. The Precept is divided by the number of households within the Parish subject to Government Council Tax. Typical expenditure includes the Clerk’s administration fee, and public liability insurance for the War Memorial and Telephone Box (community defibrillator maintenance).

Additionally, all Parish & Town Councils are required to submit an Annual Audit Return. As Sherborne Parish Council’s annual income is less that £25,000, a simple Certificate of Exemption form is required. A copy of the latest form is attached below.
