Sherborne Parish Council has up to seven Councillors who stand for election every four years (last election was held during May 2023).

The Parish Council meets at the village Social Club each month (excluding August and December) at 7:00pm. Parishioners are welcome to attend and raise questions as individuals or on behalf of the Community.

All meetings are open to the public and there is a forum before the start of the meeting at which parishioners can raise concerns and ask questions. There is also an annual meeting which all parishioners are invited to attend. All meetings are advertised on the village notice boards and on this website. Residents can bring to the attention of the parish council anything that concerns them, either directly or via the clerk. If matters raised are not the responsibility of the council, the clerk can bring them to the attention of the relevant authority.

The first hour is usually taken by members of the local National Trust management team who provide updates on Housing and Landscape matters.
